At Nely’s Latin Restaurant, I have brought the experience of enjoying a homemade meal in the Dominican Republic to my current home of Monticello, NY. The recipes that I use to create my dishes are ones that I have enjoyed with my family since I was a child.
In the Latin culture, food is looked at as something to be enjoyed among friends and family. With my restaurant, I aim to provide a place where people in the community can do exactly that. It would be a shame to leave the culture and food of my people behind in the Dominican Republic. I want to preserve that way of life and share it with my new neighbors.
I serve a traditional Latin American breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desert seven days a week, and I am available to cater events. I specialize in classic dishes, such as pollo guisado, rabo, chivo, monfongos, and sensational desserts, including flan and tres leches cake. We also have a wide selection of fruit juices and shakes. These are all prepared using the finest ingredients and methods in order to provide an excellent dining experience for customers.
